Triphenyl Phosphite (TPPi)

Triphenyl phosphite (TPP) is a versatile organophosphorus compound commonly employed in the synthesis of phosphorus-based ligands. 

Its applications include:

- Serving as a phosphorus source and ligand in the formation of transition metal phosphide nanoparticles via the heating-up method.
- Facilitating the conversion of alcohols to alkyl halides.
- Acting as a peptide coupling agent in organic synthesis.
- Functioning as a low-temperature source of singlet oxygen through adduct formation with ozone.
- Reacting with bromine to produce bromotriphenoxyphosphonium bromide, a useful brominating agent.
