Sodium Hydrosulfide (NaHS) (70% Flakes)
CAS # 16721-80-5

Sodium Hydrosulfide (NaHS) – 70% Flakes is a high-purity, solid form of sodium hydrosulfide, typically appearing as pale yellow to off-white flakes with a strong odor of hydrogen sulfide ((H₂S). It contains approximately 70% active NaHS by weight, with the remainder being moisture and trace impurities.
NaHS flakes are widely used in industrial applications, including: pulp and paper (as a pulping chemical in the kraft process), mining (for flotation of copper and molybdenum ores), leather processing (for dehairing hides), chemical synthesis (as a sulfur source or reducing agent)
Compared to liquid NaHS (40% solution), the flake form offers higher active content, longer shelf life, and reduced transport volume, making it suitable for bulk handling and storage in manufacturing environments.
